It overlooks the ocean, and its location is the most amazing ocean paradise anywhere in the lower 48 states, with wildlife everywhere. There’s no place like this anywhere in California! Shelter Cove is one of California ‘s premiere ocean fishing destinations. It is one of the Most Under Used Fishing Spots in California, which offers a great variety of Fishing: Albacore, Halibut, Salmon, Rock cod, Lingcod, Crab and more!!! The salmon and roc cod fishing in Shelter Cove are amazing! Fishermen come for the salmon from May through August. Anglers can also catch an abundance of ling cod, rock cod, halibut, albacore, and can fish from the shore for perch or rock fish, big sand dabs are open all year around, and easy crabbing is open from November till July.
